Is there another way to clear my baby's stuffed up nose during the night? Instead of using the bulb?

He is so stuffed up he can't breathe well while sleeping which wakes him up. He's 6 months old.Is there another way to clear my baby's stuffed up nose during the night? Instead of using the bulb?
try a humidifier in his roomIs there another way to clear my baby's stuffed up nose during the night? Instead of using the bulb?
Unfortunately for the little ones, the bulb is the best, though they HATE it. That does get better...my toddler now brings the bulb to me when she's congested and wants to get the congestion out of her nose.

One good thing you can do though, is to bring the bouncy seat or something (with baby) into the bathroom, shut the door and take a nice, hot shower. The steam generated from the shower will help clear up the little sinuses. (please don't take baby IN to the shower though!)

Also, I used the kids version of vicks vapor rub on my little girl, and that seemed to help. Unfortunately, you can't ask them if they feel better.
Buy a humidifier/vaporizer for his room.

also, when giving him a bath, turn on the shower and let it run very hot to steam up the bathroom and let him stay in the steamy room for 5 to 10 minutes.
Humidifier works great but don't put Vicks on your baby. Pediatricians have found it causes problems. Cut and paste the link below and read the article.

Not to be gross, but how else would you get the snot out of the nose?

You can do things prior to him getting snotty... humidifiers and elevating his head in the crib to keep his sinus draining.
saline drops before bed, they dont like it at first but it works fast
hook up a vaporizor with some liquid vicks in it. Works wonderfully!
sleep on an incline

use a vicks vaporizer

vicks baby cheast rub
Saline Drops
