Soft white is a better reading light and also doesn't show a hot spot from a covered light fixture or shade. clear light bulbs give off a brighter lightSoft white light bulbs or clear light bulbs?
Soft white is easier on the eyes but if you need brighter light use the clear.
Soft white are soft just like they say. Clear are very bright.
